Black Bee Creative offers branding and marketing solutions and graphic design, in Barnsley, for people with soul: hard-working small businesses, organisations, ethical companies and all sorts of nice people who are working to make a positive difference to the world.
I help people to develop a brand identity which looks good, feels right and clearly communicates what they do, ensuring they are connecting effectively with their target market while keeping it interesting.
No one knows your business better than you do, so instead of telling you what you should look like and what you need, I believe it’s better to work together.
I can help you to create a branding package which celebrates who you are puts across simple messages in interesting ways that are authentic to you. I can do all the hard work and get items printed and delivered for you too.

Steph has done a number of graphic design projects for me now, including my own company branding which I am delighted with. She really listened to what I wanted to convey and drew up some mood boards for me (I can’t tell how exciting it is to have these when it is for your own company!) The resulting branding was personal to me, yet professional. Highly recommended.
When I graduated from Croydon College of Art and Design in 1999 I had a dream of using my skills to save the world by designing for Greenpeace or Oxfam. However, day-to-day life got in the way and I realised I would have to put in some hard work before it could happen for me.
Over the years I have gained experience at some wonderful marketing and design agencies and have completed projects for local and multinational clients, in diverse sectors, such as property, education, health, retail, pensions and local Government.
Following a move to Barnsley, the birth of my daughter and subsequent redundancy, I started Black Bee Creative so that I could have the life/work balance that I craved. Working from my studio I am revisiting my dream of making the world a better place and helping people to be the best they can be.
In 2014 I started The Crafty Business Network, which is a community of creative business people who benefit from connecting and supporting one another. When possible we meet in person once a month to network and learn. We support each other in between meetings in our Facebook group.
I became Etsy Team Captain for Barnsley in 2016. In this role I help Etsy sellers in Barnsley to make their online shops as successful as possible and assist them with any issues they may have. I also organise the annual Etsy Made Local Christmas market where online Etsy sellers have physical stalls and sell their products in person for the day. This is a real highlight of the craft business calendar!
You may be able to tell that Black Bee Creative is no longer just a business to me, it has become a whirling ball of creative joy that has a life of its own. I am excited to see what opportunities it brings my way next!
Have a look at my case studies and if you think you would like to work with me then drop me a line and tell me your story. I’d love to hear from you!
